Hospice helps terminally ill people live well. It is concerned about comfort rather than cure. In hospice, both the patient and the family are important participants. Care is provided in the patient’s place of residence – their home, a nursing facility, residential care facility, or assisted living facility.

The goal of Hospice is to make the patient as pain-free and comfortable as possible while providing family members and significant others with the help they may need.

Hospice Services include:

• Nursing visits by experienced RNs who are on call 24 hours a day
• Home visits by our physicians when medically indicated
• Personal care by hospice trained nursing assistants
• Short-term inpatient care
• Respite care
• Medications
• Medical equipment
• Spiritual support and counseling
• Assistance with community resources
• 13 month bereavement program
• Bilingual staff

Medicare, Medicaid, and some private insurances will cover 100% of services.
