Ambercare is the first and only teaching hospice in New Mexico. The Ambercare Institute for Hospice Education (AIHE) serves a wide range of individuals and organizations with the goal of raising awareness, improving and expanding end of life care.
In the fall of 2011, Ambercare will begin a mentorship with San Diego Hospice, the national leader in the field of hospice and palliative care and education.
AIHE is dedicated to providing education, support and inspiration to our clients and their loved ones as part of our hospice service. Our staff receives progressive professional training, which enables them to offer care that includes both clinical excellence and the emotional intelligence that is required in providing heart-based, compassionate care.
Ambercare education is delivered through personal in-services, community support groups, multi-media materials and continuing education webinars for health care professionals.
